About
Romina Naparstek
An Educator and Craftsman of Jewish Cuisine.
Since 2001, Romina Naparstek has been a prominent figure in the field of education. Born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Romina, along with her parents and siblings, moved to Miami, Florida when she was 16. There, she earned a degree in Early Childhood Education from Florida International University. Her dedication to education and her Jewish cultural heritage led her to further her studies at Gratz College, where she earned a master’s degree in Jewish Education.
During her college years, Romina lived in both Israel and California, experiences that enriched her educational background and culinary passion. Due to her interest in cooking, she decided to enroll in the Argentine Institute of Gastronomy, where she earned a degree in Pastry and Bakery.
In the last five years, Romina has developed her “passion project” – a Jewish cooking curriculum and the promotion of Latin American gastronomy culture in the United States. Through these projects, participants learn about culture and gastronomy, gaining a historical understanding of Jewish life and the history of each dish.
Currently, Romina is the Early Childhood Academy Director at the Michael-Ann Russell Jewish Community Center. In addition to her work and role as a mother, she always finds time to dedicate herself to her true passion: cooking. In her free time, she is always experimenting with new recipes and preparing for her next children’s book with a culinary focus.
